Salad Classic 2025
The TCQHA Salad Classic is a fun adult no-check hockey tournament. Players include members of the Twin Cities Queer Hockey Association, and LGBTQIA+ players from all over the world. This is an opportunity for TCQHA players to share the TCQHA spirit and mission with the wider hockey community and other LGBTQIA+ hockey associations.
**Rules and structure of the tournament are subject to change up until the finalization of participants and schedule.
Arena
Games will be played at the Parade Ice Garden
When
Games are Friday, September 12th, 2025 through Sunday, September 14th, 2025.
**Four games are guaranteed: Friday morning and afternoon, Saturday afternoon and evening, and Sunday morning. Teams in each division will play three pool games and be ranked based on points accrued. A fourth game will be played for final positional standings to determine Divisional Champions and each subsequent position (1v2, 3v4, & 5v6).**
Divisions
There will be 3 divisions this year: Upper, Intermediate, and Lower. Each division will be comprised of a mix of existing preregistered full and partial teams as well as free agent teams generated for balance by the organizing committee. Teams and free agents can request a division but tournament staff will make final placements based on attendance, declared and assessed level, and divisional balance.
Teams
Each player must fill out their own registration. For captains who would like to organize a team this year, please email tcqha.salad.classic@gmail.com first before players individually register
Teams can register to be a full team, smaller groups that wish to play together may also request to be placed together with PRIOR notice. Balance within a division is important to the enjoyment of ALL so please refrain from requesting to be grouped with players of widely different skills as the committee will likely assign the group to accommodate the highest-level skaters. Tournament directors may assign free agents to any team up to 15 total skaters and 1 goalie.
Jerseys
Team jerseys will be provided this year. Teams can opt to wear their own jerseys if coordinated in advance with tournament staff.

The weekend will be full of a variety of different queer events for all ages and interests.
Featured this year will be a queer sled hockey exhibition game.

- All Players should be ready at least five minutes prior to ice times.
- Pool play scoring will be utilized. With 4 games guaranteed, with the 4th game being the positional or championship game.
