TCQHA Board and Subcommittees
Overview
As a volunteer-led "working board," we are motivated by our love for the game and our dedication to our members. We understand that growth involves challenges, but we see every "growing pain" as a chance to strengthen our community and enhance the experience for everyone.

Social Subcommittee
The Social Subcommittee is responsible for fostering community and connection among TCQHA members through the planning and coordination of social events and engagement opportunities both on and off the ice. The committee develops inclusive programming that supports member retention, strengthens relationships, and advances TCQHA’s mission of building a welcoming and affirming community for LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies.
Responsibilities may include organizing social gatherings, community outreach events, tournament activities, Pride celebrations, watch parties, and other opportunities for members to connect, volunteer, and engage with the broader community.
Salad Classic Planning Committee
The Salad Classic Planning Committee is responsible for organizing and executing the Twin Cities Queer Hockey Association’s annual Salad Classic Tournament. Committee members collaborate to create an inclusive, welcoming, and memorable experience for participants and spectators by supporting tournament operations, event planning, volunteer coordination, sponsorships, fundraising, communications, hospitality, and social events.
The committee works throughout the year to develop tournament goals, manage logistics, coordinate with vendors and venues, and ensure a successful event that reflects TCQHA’s mission of fostering community, sportsmanship, and LGBTQIA+ inclusion through hockey. Committee members play a vital role in helping the Salad Classic remain one of TCQHA’s premier community events.
