Assessments

Three preseason assessments are available this year at no cost. They're designed to help place skaters into the appropriately leveled winter division. The board reserves the right to move any player during the season to keep teams balanced.

Do I need to assess?

You need to assess if any of the following apply:

• You're new to TCQHA and didn't skate with us during the 2025–2026 Winter Season.
• You're returning and want to register at a different self-assessed level than you played last season.
• You're unsure which level fits you — level descriptions are available here.

If you're a returning player and register at a higher self-assessed level than last season without assessing, we'll adjust you back to your prior level. For example: if you registered as a Level 3 last season and sign up as a Level 4 this winter without assessing, you'll be moved to the 2/3 skate and adjusted to Level 3.
